Great shoe for the “NIKE foot”

I run about 6 to 10 miles per week in one or two runs, so average 4 to 8 miles per run. I tried NIKE’s minimalist shoe and, while great for walks and shorter runs, I need the arch support that this model provides. As a running buddy put it, I have a “NIKE foot.”

The best Nike running shoe I ever used.

I’ve paid more than double for running shoes but these Nikes are so far my favorite. Next to my NB Fresh Foam 1080 V8. I highly recommend them! I will get another pair in the future.

Do not size up. Unlike Nike which for me runs narrow. Adidas is a true size.

This sneaker is quality. I was bummed I had to return them due to being to big. I find any of the adidas that have boost to be the most comfortable.

Beats Nikes

First time trying this running shoe. Usually purchase Nike running shoes. I must say I like these better. Very light, breathable and comfortable. Hugs my foot well. I ran with Nike Air Max and saucony kin vara 5 beats them in price, comfort, performance and just way lighter. I'm sold, done with Nike!

Order a size up from regular Nike's

Order a size up from a regular Nike shoe. I ordered 1/2 a size up for my 11 year old grandson and they just fit, no room for growth. No need for socks. Beautiful shoe, high quality inside and out. The inside of the shoe acts as the sock.

Altra is now king of the run, better than Brooks, as good as Nike

I had run in Brooks shoes, mostly Ghost, since version 8. Brooks were my goto shoe. I scoured the internet to purchase multiple version 9s and 10s over the years just to keep running in them. At Brooks Ghost 11 I realized the quality started to go downhill. At Brooks Ghost 12 I had my shortest running time in a Brooks shoe ever, meaning they started to hurt my feet after four months of 9 miles total running each week (3x3 miles). I have given up on Brooks entirely. As a teenager I used to run in Nike only. Later I realized that during the 1980s-1990s that Nike was pretty clueless on running technology in terms of proper arch support and heel to toe drop engineering. I tried many different shoes and ended up with Brooks in the early 2000s. But, with Brooks having fallen from grace, my default goto shoe is Nike Air Zoom/Vomero. The current Nike Air Zoom are great shoes that keep their resiliency long after Brooks has given up the 'ghost'. I just switched out a pair of Nike Air Zoom for a pair of Altra Torin 4.5 that I got on a labor day sale. The Altra Torin 4.5 are very cushy. The design of the toe box is wide and they almost look like Bozo shoes, but they feel great. The one issue with Altra Torin break in is that the arch to heel width at the insert feels a little narrow. But this fixes itself as the shoe conforms to your feet after a few hours of use. The kind of smooth ride I used to get in Brooks Ghost v 8,9,10 is what I experience in the Altra Torin 4.5. These are definitely worth a try and offer a different kind of running experience that I think you will enjoy.

You should probably order a size larger than you normally would in other brands like Nike and New Balance

I knew that Asics sizes typically run small for me. So I ordered a 14 knowing that I wear a 13 in every other brand except for Asics. That's why I say they fit as expected. You should probably order a size larger than you normally would in other brands like Nike and New Balance.

My favorite Nikes ever

This is my 3rd pair of this shoe. I absolutely love them they're the most comfortable & breathable shoes I own. I spend most of the day on my feet and no problems. I did purchase these in a half size larger so I can put some running insoles inside they're perfect.
