The Air Jordan line continues to set the standard. Materials are premium, construction is solid, and the design language is instantly recognizable. I wore these to a sneaker convention and got compliments all day. The encapsulated Air unit provides decent cushioning, though I'd recommend aftermarket insoles if you plan to walk miles in them. Overall, an excellent purchase that lives up to the legacy.

Been collecting Jordans for over a decade and the quality on these retros is excellent. The stitching is precise, no glue stains or defects. The box presentation is always top-notch which matters for collectors. On-feet, they're comfortable enough for daily wear though not the most supportive for long walks. The design is timeless - the AJ1 especially never goes out of style. Worth every penny for the heritage and the look.

After breaking them in, they become comfortable. The design is iconic and the quality is top-tier. Just be patient with the break-in process and use moleskin patches for the first few wears.

Quality has declined from earlier retros
I remember when Jordan retros had premium leather that aged beautifully. These feel more like synthetic material with a leather coating. The creasing after minimal wear is extreme - the toe box looks like an accordion after two weeks. The sole also separates slightly at the flex points. For the premium price, the quality should be significantly better. Jordan Brand seems to be cutting corners while raising prices.
