I weigh 230ish and hike long distances. Even with decent insoles after hours of hiking it wore on my feet. I bought air cushioned nike hiking shoes and like them more. I would recommend these for beginner to intermediate mid to short distance hikes. They might be ideal for lighter weight people. They're decent though, just wouldn't recommend using for long distances if you're not light.
