Nike to the rescue

I'm not a boot guy but needed some for work my sneakers weren't holding up. I tried some typical work boots and felt like I should be snow boarding or fire fighting it was too much shoe. Then safety toe were too heavy for as much walking needed in my job. Finally I found these, Nike a brand I've always wear. I was worried that they would be too narrow now that everything seems "skinny" and not knowing if they were meant for fashion but No . 😄 They even have room for Me to replace the insoles with some good Timberland ones . It just took one day too break it and the full leather is great for all the dust and dirt , just wipe clean . Thanks Nike you have always been my brand .

Nike size = Danner size

I wear a size 12 in Nike sneakers and Danner RATs in a 12 with regular width fit my feet perfectly. If you have troll feet I'd definitely go with wides though. I have nice narrow feet that aren't ugly and freakish so I get along just fine with normal person width. I hope this helps!

Good shoes! Buy half size larger than that in Nike.

This is my first pair of trail shoes. It comes perfect! I love the bouncing feel onto the insole. It's truly marked with three technologies. I used to buy 11.5 m from Nike and Newbalance, this time I bought 12 2e. And the size is just great!

Nike Manoa boots

Columbia and Merrill are the only 2 shoes I have found that can survive getting wet more than a few times. Here in Florida the day almost always starts out with a heavy dew. Man, I am sold on these shoes! I have worn Salomon, Merrell, Nike and Colombia hiking shoes and these by far hands down are THE most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever bought. I work as an RN and am on my feet non stop for 12-16 hrs a day and my feet do not hurt (the rest of my body feels like crap) but my feet do not hurt like the do in all my other shoes. I am going to purchase another pair because I love these so much.

Nike Who? I wouldn't trade a pair of Salewa hiking shoes for 10 pair of anything Nike makes......

This is my 3rd pair of exactly this shoe. I buy 1/2 size larger than say a Nike for example as they run small by a 1/2 size in my opinion. I must have purchase as least 8-10 pair of Salewa shoes in the last 10 years. No one makes a better outdoor low cut shoe better than Salewa. i wear them as my everyday shoe summer and winter. I am completely flat footed with orthotics and their stiff sole on this model is comfort plus for me. If you could show 10 stars I would give them that for sure.

Good for light trail hiking. Size 10 is comparable to size 10 in Nike. Good value for the price.

I bought these to have some comfortable shoes for LIGHT trail walking. I have a great pair of hiking boots and am not looking to replace those. I wanted a shoe for walking around some of the relatively level trails near me that are loose gravel and harder to get traction on with traditional sneakers. These worked great for that. I can't speak as to the insole b/c I use aftermarket insoles to help with my plantar fasciitis. These accepted my aftermarket insoles without any problem. I found that the sole gripped well for what I needed it to do. The color is nice (though I tend to favor blue in general. The shoe held up to the abuse I put it through. It meets its value for a $50 shoe. Note this was my second foray into this brand having owned a pair of their cheaper hiking boots in the 90's. Those held up well too.
