I ordered these because my hubby loves this particular Nike sandal. I purchased a pair a few weeks ago to replace his old very worn out ones that although similar didn't have the same footbed.Thankfully Amazon proves to be my go to shopping place. We received both pair today, a few days earlier than date promised. These sandals have a massaging, cushioned comfortable feel that makes walking around doing errands as easy as walking around your home.

I have had several pairs of Nike 4.0 and 5.0 Free. I love all 3 styles but these by far provide the most support. These (fury) don't flex as well as the 4.0 or 5.0 but they are very comparable. It's too soon to decide which style I like the best. If support is your major concern, try these first.
Great fit
I have a narrow heel; yet like some roominess in the forefoot. I also need shoes that don't have a built up heel. Nike was my initial choice, but then they put "Air" in all their shoes - so much for Nike. Asics was next (although the heel was a bit wide for me), but they keep raising the heel. The model from 2 years ago worked; the latest is tough.These shoes are really light, flexible, move where I want. They have a snug heel and wider forefoot. Today I ran a fast 5K in them - and was stunned at how well I did.

Altra Shoes Provide What I Need
I suffer from metatarsalgia as a result of cancer radiation treatments on my right foot when I was a kid. The treatments halted the development of the natural padding that one usually has on the balls of their feet. So walking barefoot is like pushing and grinding my foot bones into solid concrete. I didn't have pain in my foot until I got into my 20s and without Altra shoes, I wouldn't be able to stay active because of foot pain. After many weeks of research, I decided to buy a pair of the Altra Olympus trail running shoes. They are great for long distances and keep my foot comfortable without aching halfway through a run and save my feet from aching after a work out. I dont like wearing the Olympuses except to workout in because of their bulk, so I decided to buy a pair of Torins too. The Torins are also an amazing shoe. They keep my feet comfortable and have enough padding to handle my daily activity level. I love being able to transition between the Olympuses and Torins throughout the day. Having to put a regular pair of tennis shoes on after working out in the Olympuses was just not working for me. My feet couldnt handle going back to the narrow toe box of a Nike shoe. If you suffer from metatarsalgia and ball-of-foot pain from your cardio workout or just daily activity, I would recommend investing in Torins and Olympuses or other Altra shoes with moderate to max padding. They have saved my feet.
