Nike discontinued this shoe! Shame on them... I have been wearing them for nearly a decade and have bought serval pair for $45-$50... Always the same quality and always a long lasting product. Better than Nike Free
I bought these to replace a pair of Nike Frees and I am trying to transition to a more minimalist type of shoe. I would call the Kinvara a good transitional shoe, but it does not equate to a full barefoot experience, for example running with Vibram Five Fingers. Construction and quality feels good. They are light and comfortable. I bought a whole size bigger than my normal dress shoe size and was glad I did. I do wear a sock with them though.
