Like Running On A Cloud...Really!
I have been a runner for the past 30+ years. Have used many brands of sneakers including Asics, Nike and Saucony. I am 5'5 and 154 lbs. On a whim, based on favorable reviews, I switched over to Mizuno brand sneakers two years ago. Specifically, I bought their Wave Creation 12 and 13. Though a bit heavier on the feet, I felt that the quality of Mizuno sneakers and overall run experience was far superior to the other brands I had been using.I buy new running sneakers every 6 months, and unfortunately, the Wave Creation models that I have become used to are no longer available. So, I have gone from 12 to 13 and now 15.However, that being said, I found 15 to be the magic number!I can't believe these sneakers. They are totally different than the previous Mizuno models. They feel lighter, have ample cushioning, and when running, they provide an incredible amount of "spring" to the step. I hate using the term "It's like running on a cloud," but these are the first sneakers that actually give me that experience that is almost impossible to achieve.Furthermore, as long as you don't care about the color, you can save a lot of money on these sneakers through Amazon. I paid $30 less by going with a less desirable color. In all, I paid about $65 for these sneakers where normally I would pay $95 or more.I should point out that I run on a treadmill. These sneakers are so comfortable and "bouncy" that my 25 minute daily run seems to be half that time. Absolutely no strain on my feet.I hope that these sneakers are not discontinued, but of course, we all know they will. Grab the 15s while you can!
As of now they seem to provide good arch support
As of now they seem to provide good arch support. I have only had them for a few days. The longest I have worn them outside is for about 7 hours at one stretch. I have decided that they are going to make a great walking shoe since I am unable to replace my older Nike walking shoe, because Nike doesn't make them anymore. I prefer the Nike Pegasus shoe for running.
Good shoe.
I wear a size 10 in most shoes. I was wearing a 10.5 in Nike and I was getting black toes when I ran. Following advice, I went up to an 11 and the problem seems to have gone away. Nike’s fit smaller and narrower than other brands. That being said, I chose these for the air cushion. Just getting back into running and my knees were sore. I used these with some Sof Sole inserts and my knees are doingGreat. I am not a Nike fan (for political reasons), but This product was good for me. I am NOT a runner though, this is just my own personal experience getting back into it.
Cool shoe that plays well and protects your foot
I bought these without a ton of research because I liked the colorway and my Nike Prime DFs were beginning to tear at some flex points. These have been a pleasant surprise, especially for me because I have a high arch that lends itself to a narrower shoe. I've found that these lock down really well and feel extremely secure on my foot. They also provide solid ankle support, and best of all, they have proven to be durable and protective with people step on my feet during pickup games.I worry that the plasticky mesh material (I think it's hyperfuse?) that forms the outer skin of the shoe's upper will break or tear the same way that my Primes did after about 5 months of regular playing. I also am not sure how I feel about the LunarLon airbag that runs from the heel to the midsole; sometimes I'm not completely confident in their stability or my feet feel weird from not fully contacting the ground. Not sure how well that explains it...Overall, these are fantastic shoes and I'd recommend them to others; they look cool and handle well and you don't see tons of other people playing in them.
Like them, but they run a size big
Like them, but they run a size big. I wear an 11 in Nike’s and would wear a size 10 with this. Very comfortable and have used most of the summer, rafting and tubing and playing around.
Like the Fit and Comfort
At first sight, I thought the shoes look bigger than my current Nike running shoes. However, once I put them on and went for a run the fit was great. Haven't put a lot of miles on them yet (5 miles so far) but at this point I like the traction, and comfort. Breathable mesh keeps the feet cool and the material keeps the shoes lightweight.
Nike has what it takes to lead as quality example for all
Awesome product, but not exactly as pictured on site when areived. Husband had to replace within 5 months as the shocks on soles of shoes wore out. Nevertheless, they were worth the price and id buy again
Great job again, Nike!
Great prie, fit, comfort and style. Durable and withstands the retail career test it takes on daily. Offers great arch support and slip resistance.
Great Successor to My Old Ravenna 3
I've always been a New Balance (specifically the 993) runner, and I only tried Brooks after the local runner shop's relentless recommendation. My first pair of Brooks was the Ravenna 3. And it was a revelation (see my earlier review of the 3 if you want details). I have weak ankle, somewhat weak arch and suffer from over-pronation. I run about 5K three times a week now - low-ish milesage runner. After getting the Ravenna 3, it quickly became my favorite pair in my rotation of the Asic GT-2000, New Balance 993 and the Ravenna 3. After about year and half and about 268 miles (according to my Nike+ tracking), my Ravenna 3 was starting to feel not as supportive. So the logical replacement is a new pair of Ravenna's. Enter my new pair of Ravenna 5.First impression - it continues the slightly skinny shoe box, which fits me perfectly as I have slightly skinny feet. That was one of the main reasons I loved the 3 so much, and I am very happy the 5 has the same fit. Cushion-wise, the 5 feels great. Reminds me of my first run with the 3, when I felt like I was running on small puffs of cloud. I know some runners prefer a harsher feel, but personally I and my knees appreciate the extra support. Stability seems good - I feel like there's good support for my over-pronation tendencies. Again, reminds me a lot of the Ravenna 3 when it was new. I was relieved to be honest, as I had read some not so positive things about the Ravenna 4, and I wasn't sure which lineage the 5 would follow. I've had the 5 since August, and so far I have about 30 miles on them. Definitely very satisfied. If there's a negative, it's the available colors. I got the "high risk red", which was really the only option as I thought the other color combos were all somewhat questionable - for my taste. But that's about it.
Thanks to SHOEBACCA I finally found Nike mercurial that fits ...
Thanks to SHOEBACCA I finally found Nike mercurial that fits my toes very well. only reason I'm not giving 5 star is that it's a bit wide and you have to use thick socks (my feet is 46.5 a.k.a. USA 12.5). delivered on time and made impression after the very first training session.
Great shoe. Fits a bit large
Great shoe. Fits a bit large. Comfortable - perfect if you have to do a lot of walking at work but regular sneakers would be inappropriate. These are a middle ground between a hard soled dress shoe and a pair of Nike's.
Comfortable and true to size.
These fit great and are really comfortable. I usually wear an 11.5 and that's what I bought. I deducted a star simply because at some points you can see the glue used to attach the sole of the shoe. I would have expected a cleaner finish from Nike. I would still recommend it based on the fit and comfort.
One of the best workout shoes I have
Very comfortable and sturdy materials. Fit is a little bit smaller than other Nike shoes so I would recommend ordering a 1/2 size bigger.
Wonderfully soft shirt!
My husband loves these Nike shirts! The fabric is thin and breathes. The fabric is soft to the touch.
You can always count on Nike for a quality product
My son needed new shoes and loved wearing his Sperry's everywhere. He wanted something similar but in a different style. These are well made, and comfortable and combination casual shoe, sneaker. He wears them all the time and loves them!
but not terribly so. Every pair of Nike I have ever ...
I wear a 4E. The length was spot on, but the width is a bit tight in the ball, but not terribly so. Every pair of Nike I have ever owned are cut that way, not sure why I expected differently. The shoe is otherwise comfortable and we'll made
