Extremely comfortable and supportive shoe for a > 200lb runner
Extremely comfortable and supportive shoe for a > 200lb runner. Switched from the Nike Zoom Oddyssey to the Nimbus 18 and it was night and day for me. The Nike was not a bad shoe, but this one is just better for me. Would get occaisional shin splints with the Nike, but so far nothing with the Nimbus. Still a big shoe, but not as clunky as the Nike. Overall, I think this shoe will last me over a 200-300 mile life.
Watch the Sizing - True to Size for Me
These boots are rich in color and the material and fabrication seem very good. However, take heed and go a full size down meaning true to size of what your foot actually measures. For example I have normal width feet and wear 11 1/2 in Nike. I go a full size down in boots and these fit the same. I measure 28.5 cm so that is 10.5 in a true to size boot or 11.5 in athletic shoes. So when I say size down a full size I mean from athletic sizes a full size hence my preface to Nike. I had to return these and sadly my size was not available. Hopefully this helps someone else.
Alternative to pricier running shoes for the average runner.
I like the style and comfort you get for the price. I usually run in Nike or Asics worth three times the price of this shoe, so I’m primarily looking for a cost savings withought loosing the support needed to put in about 20 miles of running a week. So far I am not having any discomfort or joint issues after runs. If All goes well, I will be a repeat buyer!
Heavy Runner's Delight
As a previous Military runner, I was hooked on Aisics. Now that I'm a bit older and pushing 230lbs on 40 year old knees, I decided to look around. 3 years ago I purchased my first pair of these after trying Nike, Sucony, Aisics and Brooks. I kept going back to these despite the price; for a heavy runner, these are the best I've tried and I highly recomend them.
ASICS are where it’s at!
I used to be a big fan of Nike, then I started buying Under Armour. I always assumed that both brands were top notch ...until several years ago when l bought my first pair of ASICS. Five years later they’re still in great shape. Five years of nearly everyday use and they’re still going?! That’s crazy! I’m positively an ASICS guy now!!On another note, this model here (the Gel-Kenum Men’s Running Shoe) fits a tad bit tight, so I’d suggest getting a half size larger than you normally would.
Excellent comfortable and fits like a name brand shoe
My feet are very particular in that I have a hammer toe and it is very hard to find good fitting shoes. Nike Adidas seem to be the only ones I can really wear but these are if not even better for comfort I'm walking and working out. I love them and they are excellent
Four Stars
Run a little bigger than your average nike tiempo soccer shoes fits closer to your accurate shoe size.

Made for toes that want freedom!
These may be the best running shows I have ever ran in; but NOT for walking in (see below for details). I bought these shoes for their advertised width and I am not disappointing. First I wear a size nine and my forefoot spreads to almost five inches wide on long runs. If you wear any shoe on the market and your feet are wide like mine then you know the damage those shoes can do to your feet and toes. Over the past two years I ran in Nike Free Flyknit+ and they were the best before these shoes. In fact I ordered three pairs because Nike no longer makes them. The problem is that when wearing the Nike Flyknit+ AND running down hill my heels take a beating and this lead to my current plantar fasciitis issue. So I bought these shoes and the fasciitis was so strong that I could not run in them to test them. Today though I ran a half Marathon and not once did I think about my feet other than "oh hell, I have no foot pain". So here is the ->Rub<- if you walk in these shoes, be prepared to be extremely annoyed by some form of extra material extending over the toe-area. When your foot bents this material rubs the top of your toes. I really believe it comes down to how it is laced because I was able to prevent it on one foot, but not the other. I was willing to accept the annoyance on the run today, but it did not occur. I left my shoes laced exactly as when I walk, and the rubbing did not occur. It is uncanny. I recommend this shoe to anybody with a wide foot.
Extremely Comfortable Shoes
I used to have Nike 5.0 before these and had no problem with thesefor 2 years! Decided to give Asics a try, and these are very comfortable and can feel the difference at every step.
Five Stars
Husband loved these. They are extremely comfortable and are authentic Nike shoes
Excellent shoe. Does your shoe size vary by brand by 1/2 size? Go with 1/2 size larger.
For the price they are excellent. They may have a little less support than a Nike Free, but they are very similar in my opinion and considering the price, the better deal. I would say for sizing, they hug the foot more than some shoes. As perspective on choosing size, I personally go between an 11 1/2 and 12 depending on brand. I went with the 12 and they fit well and wouldn't go down any more. So when choosing, if you are on the fence sometime like me, I'd advise going 1/2 size larger.
